Terms & Conditions
Cancellations, Non-Refundable Booking Fees and No-Shows
For some appointments, we will take a non-refundable booking fee. This will go towards the final balance of your service(s).
If you do not arrive for your appointment or cancel/re-schedule within 48 hours of the start of your appointment, your fee will be retained by the salon.
If you know you are unable to attend your appointment, please let us know as early as possible so we can re-schedule your appointment.
We reserve the right to ask for payment in full before a booking will be made. If this is done, this amount will be treated the same as a booking fee and will be retained in full upon late cancellation or no-show.
If no booking fee is taken and you cancel within 48 hours, we reserve the right to ask for a late cancellation charge of 10% of the total appointment cost, then payment in full in advance, to book any future appointments.

be charged a 30% No show fee and may be removed from the online booking system. Please contact us to book a new appointment, we will require payment in full, in advance of any new appointment.

Lateness
Please let us know if you are going to be late for your appointment, we can usually allow for a few minutes, however we may have clients after your appointment. So if you are more than 15 minutes late, we may cancel your appointment and the above cancellation terms will apply.
Patch Testing
For all new hair colour clients, we will need to carry out a patch/sensitivity test at least 48 hours before your appointment.
Complaints and Feedback procedure
At J’ADORE The Hair Boutique we always strive to deliver the high quality service and experience that our customers expect but on very rare occasions a customer may not be fully satisfied.
You will always be asked if you are happy with the service, at the end of your appointment and we encourage you to be honest at this time. If however, you do not feel comfortable stating your concerns please follow the next steps:
- Contact the salon directly via
01473 685918 or [email protected] ideally within 48hours of your appointment.
Do not attempt to correct the perceived problem yourself, or by asking someone other than J’ADORE The hair boutique as this will mean we are unable to provide any correction/adjustment services.
- Explain what it is you are not happy with and we will organise for you to come into the salon within 7 days of your service, to discuss how you feel, carry out an assessment of your hair and understand why you believe we haven’t met your expectations on this occasion.
- Where the salon has not met the expectations some of the potential steps include:
- complimentary correction/adjustment (for the original desired look) this can be done by a different stylist or beauty therapist if you prefer although this can not be guaranteed.
-discount off future service.
If we can not correct the problem we may offer you a full or partial refund depending on how reasonable we consider your complaint to be.
- If the complaint is not made in a timely manner, or the client, another hairdresser not associated with J’ADORE The hair boutique, or any other person carries out any services on the hair before you have returned to the salon we will not be able to provide any corrections or refunds.

Expectations
It is important to fully understand the expectations prior to having a service with XX so we have also created this useful guide.
Cuts
Where precision cutting techniques have been used there can be some movement if the hair is not styled / parted in the same place. If this happens, and you find a view strands seem uneven, please let us know within 48 hours of your appointment so we can correct any rogue strays. There is a time limitation of 7days for cut correction.
Unfortunately, our hair doesn’t grow evenly all over our head, and therefore as your hair grows out you may find the shape / precision of the cut may change. To maintain cut definition your stylist will recommend the frequency of hair maintenance which is normally around 6 weeks depending on the style.
Colours
Quasi-permanent or Semi-permanent – these colours will naturally fade out around 6 – 8 weeks. They are perfect for full head colour with little to no grey coverage and provide lots of shine. As your hair grows you will see roots. Skin testing required.
Permanent – often used for all over colour and where the client has grey or resistant hair. The colour will show some fade and you will have roots as your hair grows. Skin testing required.
Regrowth – this service is offered where a full head permanent colour is growing out and is generally between 4 – 8 weeks depending on your colour, hair growth. Skin testing required.
Full head Highlights or babylights – this service is designed to lighten your hair using a lightening system which may include bleach. Your hair will be “weaved” into small sections, depending on the desired look, and lightener will be applied to the hair. The hair that is not lightened can either be left in its natural colour or enhanced with a Quasi/Semi/Permanent colour. Because bleach is not applied directly onto the scalp you can expect a small amount of root visible with this service. Due to the nature of lightening systems the service will dry your hair and we may recommend a toner to provide extra condition / shine.
Lowlights – a similar technique to highlights but using a combination of colours and tones rather than just lightener.
T-Section – this is used just on your parting and front hair line to maintain highlights without a full head service.
Half head – another approach for maintain highlights covering the top half of the head.
**All colours fade, this includes toners that are applied over lightened hair. All colours create roots as your hair grows. Colour maintenance will depend on the colour service and your style but on average are between 4 – 8weeks. Your stylist will advise you on aftercare during your appointment.
To get the best from your colour service it is essential that you use professional products, as recommended by your stylist, as non professional products often contain detergents and silicones that can damage the colour molecule creating advanced fade.

Property Loss or Damage
It is your responsibility as the owner, to take care of any property you bring into the salon. We take no responsibility for any property which is lost or damaged, unless it is damaged by a member of staff due to carelessness. Anything left in the salon will be held for 8 weeks, we will do our best to contact you to retrieve your property.
Other Terms & Conditions
Some of our services/treatments will come with their own specific terms and aftercare. These will be highlighted individually either upon booking, consultation or at your appointment.
